NOTICE TO BIDDERS SALE OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY Notice is hereby given that the City of South Bend, Indiana, through its Board of Public Works, is offering for sale the following parcel of real estate located in South Bend, Indiana: Address: 1421 Medora, South Bend, IN 46628 Parcel No. 018-2159-5849 Legal Description: LOT 6 AUSTIN PK This parcel is being sold under Indiana Code 36-1-11-4, where authority is granted to the Board of Public Works to sell parcels of land to property owners in good standing, who may wish to acquire that property, all in the best interests of the City. The Board of Public Works has determined the best use of the property is its sale to the highest and best bidder. The parcel is approximately 00.11 acres. The cost to the public of maintaining the tract over its lifetime equals or exceeds the estimated fair market value of the tract. The tract's assessed value is $1,300.00 for property tax purposes. The average of two appraisals conducted for the tract is $1,000.00. The minimum calculated offering price is $1,000.00. Bidders will also be responsible for the cost of advertising, a sales disclosure form, transfer, and recording upon a successful negotiation and sale of the tract.
