INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
VENUES PARKS & ARTS
TO: Linda M. Martin, Clerk
Board of Public Works
FROM: Patrick Sherman
SUBJECT:, Four Winds Field Water Softener
DATE: 05/28/2019
IIUI 1nolIINNNNUNUNNNNNUN NUUNNNWNNiMNBffSN"Nti * INIIIOIOIIU NN NIUNNNNI^NN
On May 141h, 2019, the Board of Public Works opened and read 3 quotes for the above project.
After review, the system quoted by Culligan of Mishawaka is an equal to the system specified by
the quote request. The Culligan quote listed the inclusion of 1400lbs of salt included instead of
the 1500lbs specified in the quote request. Upon contacting the firm, this was a typo and the full
1500lbs will be supplied as specified.
Venues Parks & Arts recommends award of the quote for a water softener at Four Winds Field
of $13,326,00 to the lowest responsive / responsible bidder, Culligan of Mishawaka.
The Department of Public Works has appropriated sufficient funds from Non -reverting Cove Fund.
Please call with any questions.
