1.3 Study, understand, and incorporate applicable ADA (American with Disabilities Act) <br />requirement, as well as local sign ordinances applicable to the project. <br />1.4 Review architectural design documents to determine proposed site features, routes of <br />circulation and user decision nodes to determine a wayfinding strategy. <br />1.5 Prepare document showing sign type locations and estimated quantities. <br />1.6 Create a list of terminology, nomenclature, and abbreviations for use on signage, per City of <br />South Bend/ Venues Parks & Arts Signage, <br />1.7 Study, understand, and incorporate applicable ADA requirements, as well as city sign <br />ordinances applicable to the project. <br />1.8 Develop schematic design sketches showing: general size hierarchies, colors, type font, <br />materials, and graphic images. Present color drawings of selected signage items in the <br />program approval. <br />Deliverables: Conduct a team work session to discuss findings and submit a report with brief <br />narrative text. <br />Schematic Design Document —A collection of idea sketches showing sign <br />alternatives, message framework, and representative location plan. Provide <br />complete sign package design intent. <br />Meetings: Meeting with City of South Bend/ Venues Parks & Arts Signage Leadership (1 <br />meeting) Schematic Design Presentation (1 meeting) <br />Phase 2—Design Development and Documentation <br />2.1 Based upon approval of the Schematic Design, create a definitive graphic vocabulary for all <br />Signage — includes typography, pictograms, and color palette. <br />2.2 Prepare a set of drawings and illustrations that articulate one selected sign design concept <br />with size, shape, size and method of attachment. <br />2.3 Write sign copy/text and prepare message schedule for review and approval by City of <br />South Bend/ Venues Parks & Arts Signage. <br />2.4 Discuss design concepts and develop a costing for construction and installation of signs. <br />2.5 Develop location plans and sign type index for all sign elements using AutoCAD base plans <br />provided by City of South Bend/ Venues Parks & Arts Signage. <br />2.6 Prepare final Design intent Documents, showing elevations and details for each sign type. <br />Specify typo graphics formats, finishes, and construction materials. <br />Deliverables: Sign Qualifications and Costing <br />Design intent Documents — Prepare design documents including Signage <br />elevations and details (11x17 format). <br />Meetings: Review of the Deliverables <br />475 industrial Drive Harrison, CH 45030 513,202.9200 <br />
