De,Haven <br />absent. <br />Councilma n BleJ niczak,afid John Kuss appeared before the Board in re and <br />to Water Works matters, The matter of the delay In puttinlg.in Meade Street Loof <br />was discussed, and Clerk Hazinski of the Water Department ekplained the reason for <br />said delay and same was'that they eQuld not lay ppipte on ceczun of water in JYis locality <br />as is usual every spring, and assured the Boar ti�a the ater epartment wou put <br />in pipe as soon as they would be able to dig into ground, <br />Clement Borkowski of 2017 W. Sample Street appeared beforethe Board and <br />presented remonstrance by pro erty owners agaainst asphalt Plant of the White Construction <br />ompany on Sample Street and, live Street. o action taken. <br />Mr. E. H. Miller a eared before the Boar and petitioned the Board to consent <br />to improvement of Ernspperger Meet without cost to e City as per petition filed <br />in Auditor s Office under date of Aprio 16th.,, 1921 and amended May 9th. 1921. <br />The following resolution was approved by the Board.. <br />R.E SOLUTION. <br />WHEREAS 0 to M Knob1oak, E. g, Mil1ler A J Ma or and others did on <br />April 16th., U21 file in'the office of the auditor o? . Mon <br />May 23rd. 1921 signed by thirty two persons. <br />In the above matter the Board referred all petitions to the <br />City Engineer to be checked up and report filed Wednesday May 25th., 1921 at 7:15 P.M , <br />The Board rejected al bids received on Sam le treet ravel <br />pavement under ImprovementsResolution No. 856 and ordered same readvertised on <br />the 25th. day of May 1921 and June 1st. 1921 in the South Bend News Times statingg that <br />this Board will received bids up to 10:00 A.M. on the 14th. day of June 1921, The Board <br />reserves the right to'reject any and all bids; <br />• <br />Bids were received read and referred to the City Engineer for <br />tabulation for Wednesday May 25th.0 1921 for water connections on the following streets. <br />Water connections on Chestnut Street°from Wash. Avenue to L. S. <br />& M. S. Ry. <br />Bid of Wm. H. H. Burke. <br />Long side, each .............................. 32.50 <br />Complaint about pole at Northeast corner of La Porte Ave mxe <br />and Colfax Avenue. This is a postal tel. Co. pole and is in the underground district <br />and should be removed entirely. The wires now on pole could be placed on light Company <br />pole temppoorarily until all wires are placed underground in this district. This report <br />made by Pols & Wire Inspector and approved by the Board. <br />V <br />
