<br />The'Board agreed to pay for all water used at the Clinic and the Clerk was
<br />instructed to notify the Water Dept. to'send bills for water t,o this Department
<br />and same is to°be paid out of the water Fund of, the Board of Public Works. -
<br />Mr. Taylor of Rarter Heights appeared before the` Board in re and
<br />to the condition of.the-pavement in Harter Hei hts regard
<br />g .The Board instructed the
<br />Clerk to.notifyqthe Williston'Construction Company to make the necessary repairs
<br />on pavement,in ffarter Heights under their guarantee bond on.ofile in this,Office.
<br />The Board ordered two 100 C. P. lig-.1.ts on Peashway and Leeper

<br />Mauer of condition of sidewalk and curbs on Ford Street, Dunham
<br />and Huron Streets filed,by-Councilffian Ole uiezak. the Board ordered J. W.`Doy1e
<br />of the White Construction Company to'take this mat er up with Councilman
<br />Olejniczak and make the necessary repairs.
<br />Board ordered a light placed at southeast corner of Scott Street

<br />propety on Sample Street and Olive Streets. Deferred action'unti.l Wednesday

<br />TRUNK SEWER IMPROVEMFNT RESOLUTION NO. 853.
<br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend,,
<br />County of St. Joseph State of Indiana: -That it is desired and deemed xecessar
<br />to construct a sewer lu Indiana Avenue all in said City, which, from its size ana
<br />character, is not.only intended and adapted for use by property owners whose
<br />propertydfabuts tuna along the line of said sewer, but is also intended and
<br />adapted o receiving sewage from collateral dra ns a ready constricted or
<br />Which may be hereafter constructed and the same is hereby ordered -constructed in
<br />an
<br />d along the following line in. said City, to -wit:- Beginning at the inter-
<br />e.ction o the center line of Olive Street and Indiana Avenue; thence east along
<br />the center line of Indiana Avenue to the center of Grant Street with a 30 inch
<br />circular sewer; thence still east along the center of Indiana Avenue to.the cent&
<br />of Pulaski Street with a 24 inch ipe sewer• thence still east aloe the center
<br />of Indiana Avenue to the center of Walnut Street with a 20 inch pip sewer,,
<br />thence still east along the center of Indiana Avenue to the center of Webster
<br />Street with an 18 inch vitrified pipe sewer -thence still east alongg the center
<br />of Indiana A venue to the center of Arnold Street with a 15 inch -vitrified pippe
<br />sewer; thence still east along the center of Indiana Avenue to a oint 70 feet
<br />west of the westerly line of Prairie Avenue with a 12 inch vitrified pipe sewer;
<br />together with the neeessary manholes, storm water inlets, conduitsm flush tanks
<br />and house conneetions to the curb line &bong the line of said improvement:
<br />And to be built in accordance with the profiles, specifications,
<br />detail plans, maps and estimates now ow. file in the office of the De

<br />of Public Works of said City which includes an estimate of the prapertidn:,that
<br />the cost of an.adequate local sewer, built along the above line, bears to the
<br />test of the main sewer, to be built as follows: The cost of an adequate local
<br />sewer, built along the line of above described, is hereby estimated and fixed
<br />to.be of the cost of the maix'sewer to be built along the said
<br />line as above set forth,.which proportion, as herein estimated and fixed, shall
<br />be taken quid adopted in all computations. requiring.& knowledge of the cost of
<br />such local sewer if built,alone the line where the main sewer is to be built.
<br />The cost of the construction or said sewer shall be divided as follows:
<br />1. So much of such cost as shall be equivalent to the construction
<br />,of an adequate. sewer net adapted to receive sewagge from collateral drains
<br />or sewers, if along the polders
