Hearing hadon resolution for.pipe sewer,on Emerick Street from Sorix Street to a point 100 ft. northerl from the center of Haggerty Street. under . Improvement Resolution. No. 850. In the �ity of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter no written remonstrance was -filed. Board of Public Works, South,Bexd, Ind. rentiemex:- Attached is a detailed report of.the condition of the streets and courts on which the Post Office Department'ha,s requested sidewalk improvements. I woudl recommend that the Board take the time to go over these streets and then determine whether or not improvements should be ordered. Many of the streets are side streets on which there are no houses, but which are pro4ably used by mail carriers in going from one improved steet to another. Some of the street have an assessed valuation to low to cover the cost of the proposed improvements: The courts mentioned are mostly alleys which could be paved, but should first be provided with sewers.
