Before the Department of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana. In Re. Widenin of Ewing Avenue from Errns ergger Street to Olive Street, under Condemnation ` Resolution No. 56. in the City of South Bend, Indiana. The undersi ned Oswald and Sarah Wholly, owners of the following des- cribed property affected by -said proposed improvement, which property is described as -follows: - Lot fifty-one 51) Bowman's Addition to Myler, in. the City of South Bend, hereby remonstrate against the said proposed improvement on the following grounds: " . 1. The award of damages to the property of these remonstrators is too small. 2. The assessments of bemettts to the property of these remonstrators is too great. To the Honorable Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana. Gentlemen: - Comes now I, Luoinda Whiteman 6f the City of South Bend St. Joseph County, Indiana and her b show this Honorable Board that I am the -owner off' the properties on paper`s marked exhibit TA that is attached to this remonstrance, and wherein it shows that this Honorable Board a lowed the said Lucinda Whiteman the sum of $1,831.25, damagges and assessed $603.879 benefits and awarded net damage to the said Lucinda Whiteman of,$1,227.380 Your said Remonstratrix hereby remonstrates against said amount of net damages and aggainst benefits allowed or assessed against the said Lucinda Whiteman and hereby petitions this Honorable Board that said Net damages be increased for the reason that your remonstratrix 's property will be damaged to a greater extent than the allowances made by - this Honorable^Board.
