The ceremony <br /> will take place on the Gridiron at the College Football Hall of Fame located at 111 South <br /> Saint Joseph Street in downtown South Bend. The ceremony,which starts at 6:00 p.m., <br /> will welcome new students attending local colleges and universities. <br /> "South Bend has a lot to offer in entertainment, arts, and dining for students coming to <br /> the area for college and graduate studies,"Buttigieg said. "We want them to feel at home <br /> in our city and explore all that it has to offer." <br /> The welcoming ceremony will be part of a Student Bus Tour that has become a popular <br /> annual event. Colleges and universities participating include: Saint Mary's College, Holy <br /> Cross College, Indiana University South Bend and the University of Notre Dame. The <br /> colleges and universities invite freshmen, transfer, and graduate students to board <br /> TRANSPO buses to tour some of the attractions in South Bend. The Student Bus Tour <br /> exposes students to what the city has to offer and provides an opportunity for students to <br /> explore the rich history of the city. <br /> "We are excited to participate in this year's Student Bus Tour," Jackie Rucker, the <br /> Associate Director for Community Relations at University of Notre Dame, said.
