<br />P£rmisp ion granted the New JerseyIndiana & Illinois Ry. Co. the right
<br />to close Prairie Avenue and Kemble Avenue at intersection of their right; of way for a period
<br />of from five to ten days from August lath. ,1920. Kemble Avenue riot to be re -opined until
<br />Prairie Avenue is -re-opened, Proper barricades and detours signs to be placed and the
<br />Police a-nd Fire Department to be notified when streets are closed and re -opened.

<br />STkEET OR ALLEY IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION N0. 836.
<br />Be It Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend,
<br />St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, , that it is des irad and deemed necessary to Improve
<br />Ewing Avenue from Michigan Street to Miami Street as follows, t o-ttt: --
<br />Said Avenue shall be graded and the roadway thereof shall be paved; and
<br />also the roadway of certain portions of the streets and alleys which enter or intersect
<br />said street shall be graded and paved. The paving material to be used in making said
<br />improvement shall be Sheet Asphalt, Bitulithie, Asphaltic concrete or Brisk, and the foundatio
<br />shall be pertland cement concrete six (6) inches thick for the sheet asphalt, bitulithic,
<br />asphaltic concrete and brick or rolled gravel six '(6) inches thick forthe brick; also com-
<br />bined cement curb and gutter shall be constructed along said avenue where same is not
<br />already constructed where necessary; all manhole tops and storm water inlets shall be set
<br />to the proper grade, cement marginal curb shall be constructed at all street and alley
<br />intersections where necessary, all as is more particularly shown and all in acerdance
<br />with the plans, profiles, detail drawings on file in the office of the Department of Public
<br />Works of the City of South Bend , Indiana.
