<br />Know al 1 men by these presents, That we.the Bruno De Paepe
<br />Of the County Of St. Joseph State of Indiana, as principal, and L. S. Barter atty. in
<br />fact Dor the United Stages Fidelity and Guaranty Company of Baltimore, Maryland of the v
<br />CouXty of St. Joseph and State of Indiana as sureties, are held and firmly bound to the
<br />City of South Bend, Indiana, in the sum of Nine Thousand Three Hundred and fifty
<br />seven Dollars 09,357.00) for the layment Of which, well and truly to be made, we jointly
<br />and severally bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns firmly,
<br />by these presents.
<br />The cond it ions of the obl igat ion are such that if the above
<br />gamed Bruno De Paepe shall faithfully comply with the foregoing contract, .made and
<br />entered into the 21st. day, of June 1919 with the City of South Bend, Indiana, and -shall
<br />fulfill all the conditions and stipulations therein aontained., according to the ',nuo
<br />intent and meaning- thereof, in all respects, then this obligation to be void, otherwise
<br />to be and remain in full force and virtue in law. In the event the said City shall extend
<br />the time for the completion of said work, such extension shall not in any way release
<br />the sureties on this bond.
<br />This shall be a construct iob hnnd and the sureties on the saw
<br />shall not be held responsible for the maintenance and repair of the improvement after it
<br />has been accepted by the second party, but such sureties shall be held raspons ble for
<br />the faithful compliance with all other conditions, stipulations, and rwquGr*m*dtsr Set
<br />out in the contract.
