The salt will be used to prepare a saturated brine solution which will be used <br />as a chloride source for the on -site hypochlorite generator. <br />ii. Bids will be all inclusive. <br />iii. Solar salt/Purex manufactured by Morton Salt (or equal) shall be supplied in <br />bulk delirer es and bbw n 7n1tD the brbe r atumtor'tank using the auppliei!s <br />truck -mounted blower. <br />iv. The existing brine saturator tank has the capacity to receive 25-ton bulk <br />deliveries. <br />V. E qutm ent such as hosesw ith the 4" qurk d=nnect d-iall be pmvrled w ±h <br />salt delivery by the provider. <br />vi. Off-loading truck air pressure shall not exceed 10 p.s.i. for every salt delivery. <br />B. PRODUCT <br />i. Salt for sodium hypochlorite generation <br />ii. Salt shall be certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 60 when the sodium <br />hypochlorite solution produced by the electrolytic generator will be used for <br />disinfection of drinking water. <br />V. Salt shall contain no anti -caking or free -flowing additives or conditioners. <br />
