These specifications cover blends of phosphate compounds used to stabilize or <br />sequester soluble iron and manganese in potable water. <br />E. PHYSICAL FORM <br />i. Product shall be a granular form. Powdered material will not be accepted. <br />F. PHYSICAL STANDARDS <br />i. Phosphate blend shall comply with the following physical requirements: <br />1. Color: White <br />2. Solubility: Completely miscible in water <br />3. Percent Phosphate as PO4 Minimum of 80% <br />4. Physical Form: Granular <br />G. CHEMICAL STANDARDS <br />i, Phosphate blend shall contain only NSP approved phosphorous ingredients. <br />ii. No amines or other chelating agents shall be used. <br />i i. Blended phosphate product formulation shall be only sodium salts of <br />phosphate compounds. <br />iv. No potassium salts shall be used. <br />V.
