Emulsion
300 gallon minimum capacity, foam insulated, pressurized and
System:
heated storage tank. Tank to be pressurized by the truck air
brake system by an adjustable regulator set to 70 PSI, glycerin
filled pressure gauge to be included. Tank to be ASME
Certified for 150 PSI minimum burst pressure. Fill opening to
be located in the top 8" diameter minimum with an ASME
Certified hinged safety cover. Top area of tank to be diamond
plate safety tread with black abrasive paint. Shut off valves and
glycerin filled gauge to be mounted on the top deck as needed to
release pressure for filling. Tank to have a manual drain valve
located under the body. Hot water type heating system,
utilizing coolant provided by the auxiliary engine for the
emulsion storage tank, delivery hose and nozzle assembly. A
2000 watt minimum, 110 volt single phase heating element with
thermostatic control, shall be installed within the water jacket of
the heating system for use when the unit is parked. Controls to
be mounted within the protective enclosure. Outlet to be
located on the drivers' side of the unit and must include a
weather proof door and power indicator pilot light.
Emulsion
Hose to be one piece from tank to nozzle, fully insulated against
Delivery:
heat loss and petroleum resistant.
Flushing A 30-gallon minimum flushing tank to be included. Tank to be
System: pressurized by the truck chassis air brake system, and ASME
Certified for 150 PSI burst pressure. System to include 3 way
valve for flushing.
Front Boom A one piece, double acting hydraulic boom to be located in the
Assembly: center of the front bumper. The front bumper to be '/z inch steel
minimum, reinforced and attached to the truck frame. Boom
assembly to support aggregate delivery hose, heated emulsion
hose, hot water lines from auxiliary engine and the mixing
nozzle assembly. Boom to be rigid enough to with stand
shaking during normal operation. Boom to be supported with a
stabilizer to minimize side to side movement during patching
operations. A boom rest to be installed on the curb side of the
front bumper to secure boom for transit, including a boom lock
device.
