IRLARSON <br />DANIELSON <br />Conwt'raxcdonCompany, Inc, WORK PLACE DRUG <br />QUALRY CONSTRUCTION SINCE 1968 <br />AND ALCOHOL ABUSE F.29 <br />The use, possession, transportation, solicitation or sale of alcohol or drugs (illegal drugs or unprescribed <br />drugs) by anyone while on Company business or premises is absolutely prohibited. In addition, the <br />Company prohibits any employee being at work or working under the influence of alcohol or drugs, <br />irrespective of the degree of physical or mental impairment the employee may be experiencing. This policy <br />includes the intentional misuse of prescribed drugs as well as the illegal use of unprescribed drugs. Any <br />violation of these rules by any employee while on company business or premises will be cause for <br />disciplinary action, ranging from verbal or written reprimand to immediate discharge and referral to law <br />enforcement agencies. <br />The term "company premises" includes all property, buildings, structures, jobsites, parking lots and means <br />of transportation owned by or leased to the company or that which is under the control of the company, the <br />responsibility of the company or otherwise being utilized for company business. <br />In an effort to establish a drug free work place for the safety of its employees, Larson Danielson <br />Construction Co. Inc. will adhere to a drug testing program consisting of, but not limited to initial employment <br />screening, scheduled random testing, and post -accident testing. <br />Consequences for a positive test: Any employee who fails a drug test will be disciplined in the following <br />progression: <br />(A) After the first positive test, an employee will be: <br />(i) suspended from work for thirty (30) days; <br />(ii) directed to a program of treatment of rehabilitation; and <br />(iii) subject to unannounced drug testing for one (1) year, beginning the day the employee <br />returns to work. <br />(B) After a second positive test, an employee will be: <br />(i) suspended from work for ninety (90) days; <br />(ii) directed to a program of treatment or rehabilitation; and <br />(iii) subject to unannounced drug testing for one (1) year, beginning the day the employee <br />returns to work. <br />(C) After a third or subsequent positive test, an employee will be: <br />(i) suspended from work for one (1) year; <br />(ii) directed to a program of treatment or rehabilitation; and <br />(iii) subject to unannounced drug testing for one (1) year; beginning the day the employee <br />returns to work. <br />In addition, all BCRC policies and procedures relating to drug and alcohol abuse, as detailed in the Health <br />and Safety Manual, are relevant and applicable to this Company policy. <br />Larson Danielson reserves the right to accept a standardized drug testing program, so long as said program <br />contains similar criteria to that which is listed above. <br />Post -accident drug testing will be required for all injuries requiring treatment beyond first aid, and any <br />property damage accident where there is more than one thousand dollars damage.
