Concerning the improvement of the roadway of Olive Street from <br />Lincoln Way West to Washington Avenue and from Division Street to Sample Street <br />with asphalts, KKasphaltic concrete, 1-bitulithic or brick in pursuance to reslution <br />No. 613, the Board on the 27th. , day of May 1919 at 10:00 A X., , publicly opened <br />and read and considered all bids and then continued their meeting to the 28th. , day <br />of May 1919 at 7: i5 P.M. , and then continued their meet .} guntil the 318t., day of <br />May 1919 at 10:00 A.M. <br />Now on last named date the Board designated asphaltic concrete <br />as the kind of pavement with w1tich said street is to be improved amd fines the 12th. <br />day of June 1919 at 10:00 A.M. as the time when petit ions for changing the find of <br />pavement must be filed, and the Board hereby continues this matter until the 17th., <br />day of June 1919 at 10:00 A.M. E. StarrCity Electrician appeared before the Board in <br />regard to machne, for use of inspection. The Board agreed to recommend an increase <br />in salary if he would purchase a conveyance and maintain same.,this being agreeable <br />to Mr. Starr if the .Board would recommend the increase to Eighteen.. Hundred ($l,$880.0 <br />per year. The same was agreed upon by the Board. <br />The Beard ordered .a resolution for _grade, curb and walk-1-Improvement <br />on Walnut Street from Sample Street to Prairie Avenue. <br />.-The matter of awarding contract on the bid submitted Tuesday for <br />garbage disposal was defeaded .until Tuesday June a3rd.,1919 at 10:00 A.M. <br />The Board allowed the Visiting Nurses Association to put a small <br />sign on the C ity's house. <br />The Board ordered the following lights placed. <br />90 C. P. lights on light pole at the alley about 150 feet south of <br />Div is ion Street on the east side of Jackson Street. <br />80 C. P. light at foot of Wayne Street in Howard Peak, <br />80 C. P. light at Portage Court between Ashland Avenue and Portage <br />Avenue <br />80 C. P. light at alley about 150 feet south of Div is ion Street on th <br />the east side of Jackson Street. <br />
