No remonstrators against pavement.) {Property Owners present, <br />residing ,on said street requested the Board to see if the Street car could be but <br />in ahead of pavement improvement, Mr. R . -R. Smith being present on another hearing., <br />wss. requested w explain to property owners about street car conditions. Mr. Smith <br />stated his c ompanyl s c and it ion and said he could not see anyway -possible of getting <br />ahis ' extension at this time or even neat year on account of the f inane ial c and it ion <br />of his company. Mr. Bonds requested that all underground Work be put in ahead of <br />pavement improvement also Mr. C. Hyde. The Board informed the property Owner <br />street car tracks could not be put in if street was to be paved this year. Property <br />where agreeable to have street paved. ). And the Board being fully advised in <br />the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said <br />improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City <br />C iv i1 Eng ineer s and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as or ig inally <br />adopted and the same is hereby in all things bat if ied, a onf irmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the lath., day of <br />May 1919 , and on the 24th. , day of May 1919 in the South Bend Daily Tribune, stating <br />that this Board will receive bids for the c onstruct icy of said improvements up to <br />10: 00 A.M. on the 3rd . day of June 1919. The Board reser ♦es the right to reject any <br />and all b ids . > <br />Hearing had on Improvement Res olut ion 80. ' 661 for the pavement <br />on first ,'a11ey cast of Carroll Street from Wayne Street to Division Street, in the <br />City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance <br />was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the <br />benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the <br />estimated cost'of the ame, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon <br />takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in <br />all things 'ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 17th. <br />day of May 1919.' and on the 24th., day of May 1919 in the South Bend Daily Tribune, <br />in said City, stating that this Board Will receive bids to fair the construction of <br />said improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 3rd. day of June 1919. The Board reserves- <br />the right to.reject any and all bids. <br />This. being the date set for the deferred hearing on resolution <br />for the paving of Marine Street, remonstrators appeared and the Board after due <br />c ons iderat ion decided to defer this hearing until Wednesday Juice 18th. ,1919. at <br />7:15 P.M. <br />This being the date set for the deferred hearing on resolution <br />for the paving of Leer Street and Fox Street. Remonstiat©rs appeared, but no further <br />Written remonstrance filed.
