R -66, CENTRAL DOWNTOWN PROJECT <br />deemed necessary by the Board of Commissioners of the Department of <br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana, in furtherance of the Urban Re- <br />acquire the following real estate in the urban renewal area known as <br />wntown Project, in the City of South Bend, Indiana: <br />Owner <br />Emily Athens & Estate of James <br />Karras <br />Monica M. Peak, Executrix <br />Michiana Garrison #291 <br />Sollitt Construction Company <br />Thomas William Dusdale <br />Concurred -In <br />Acquisition Price <br />$158,461 <br />57,085 <br />13,015 <br />178,482 <br />17,900 <br />Department of Redevelopment of the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />effort to purchase the above - described property from the owners, but <br />it and said owners have been unable to agree as to the purchase price. <br />D, that the Executive Director cause a notice and final offer in <br />made to each of the above owners at the respective concurred -in <br />final offer shall include an invitation to discuss the acquisition <br />operty with the Department of Redevelopment within ten (10) days <br />and a notification that Eminent Domain proceedings will be instituted <br />fter said ten (10) days period if agreement cannot be reached on the <br />e within said ten (10) days. <br />RESOLVED, by the Commissioners of the Department of Redevelopment of <br />outh Bend, Indiana, that in the event an agreement cannot be reached <br />se of the property within ten (10) days after notice of final offer, then <br />ners do hereby determine that it is necessary that they proceed to <br />bove- described parcels of real estate under the power of Eminent <br />cribed by the laws of the State of Indiana (Burns' Indiana Statutes <br />ent, Section 48 -8557) in order to carry out the redevelopment plan, <br />use for which the real estate is to be acquired is for the public <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Commissioners, attorney, Bruce C.
