Broden, Jake <br /> Teshka, John Voorde, Gavin Ferlic, Karen White <br /> Absent: Oliver Davis <br /> Agenda: Discussion of Council Agenda <br /> Update and Announcements <br /> Boards and Commissions Interviews <br /> Adjournment <br /> Council President Tim Scott called to order the Informal Meeting of the Common Council at 4:56 <br /> p.m. with four(4) items on the agenda. <br /> Genevieve Miller, Deputy Chief of Staff for the Mayor of the City of South Bend with offices <br /> located on the 14th floor of the County-City Building, stated, Today is the first (1st) day for me <br /> being Deputy Chief of Staff to the Mayor, replacing Suzanna. So, I've had the privilege working <br /> closely with her and preparing to step into this role.Previously, I was working as a business analyst <br /> to the City. So, today is my first(1St)day and I am really just honored and excited in stepping into <br /> this role. I am looking forward to working closely with each of you. I will reach out to sit down <br /> with each of you to talk a little bit. I'm very excited. <br /> The Council went over the agenda for that night's formal Council meeting and detailed the <br /> recommendations for each bill from the various committees. <br /> The Council then conducted interviews for various Board and Commission Common Council <br /> appointments (full interviews are available in video format in the City Clerk's Office). The <br /> Council's vote for each appointment follows (* - denotes appointment): <br /> Animal Care and Control(1 vote per Council Member) <br /> *Barbara Leavell—8 votes <br /> Councilmember John Voorde made a motion to delay voting on the remaining appointments until <br /> April 8th, 2019.
