This is EXHIBIT K, consisting of 2 pages, referred to in and part of the Agreement between Owner and Engineer for Professional Services dated December 3rd, 2018. AMENDMENT TO OWNER -ENGINEER AGREEMENT Amendment No. 1 1. Background Data a. Effective Date of Owner -Engineer Agreement: December 3`d, 2018 b. Owner: Ci of South Bend De artment of Public Works C. Engineer: Epoch Architecture + Planning d. Project: Technolo Resource Center , Catalyst 2 2. Description of Modifications: a. Engineer shall perform or furnish the following Additional Services: 1) Create varying wall thicknesses to create opportunities for varying paint colors, fry reglet reveals to add interest/movement, and 10'-0" tall office store front systems equally spaced to create a unique design. 2) Research moveable wall options at the Flex Space, presented options to the City, and expressed cost and structural support concerns. The proposed option was to enclose the Flex Space with an office storefront system. 3) Front of house open space change of occupancy from business to assembly to allow public events, tables, presentations, and the SB code school classes. 4) Mechanical coordination to conceal HVAC duct drops into perimeter offices to maintain design elements, and routing ducting through the existing structure to accommodate acoustic baffles. 5) Floor plan changes during our December 21 st meeting. This is when we were asked to add two shower rooms, move the storage room/small conference rooms to provide a division between the front of house/back of house office area, and add two additional offices. 6) Low voltage coordination between the City and our MEP to meet their low voltage needs. 7) Addition of storage cabinets and countertop with surrounding walls to enclose cabinets. 8) Unique suspended lighting layout and coordination with added acoustic baffles at the two open spaces. 9) Design of a unique restroom with cost effective details to go along with the show piece aspect of the Technology Resource Center.
