RESOLUTION NO. 382 <br />AUTHORIZES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO CONTRACT FOR A PRIVATE <br />RETIREMENT PLAN, OFFERED BY THE CONTINENTAL ASSURANCE <br />COMPANY AND APPROVED BY RENEWAL AND HOUSING ASSISTANCE, <br />DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT <br />WHEREAS Renewal and Housing Assistance, Department of Housing and Urban <br />Develop ent has issued regulations permitting the Local Agency to contribute <br />to a pr vate retirement plan established by the Local Agency for its <br />employe s; and <br />WHEREAS the Department of Housing and Urban Development specifically <br />states hat the Local Agency may purchase such a private retirement <br />plan; a d <br />WHEREAS, the members of this Local Agency desire to make available for <br />and ext nd to its eligible employees, the protection and benefits afforded <br />by a pr vate retirement plan; <br />NOW, THl <br />a quorun <br />subdivi! <br />and pow( <br />to ente► <br />GP 50001 <br />REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by this Local Agency in regular meeting, <br />being present, that the governing authority of this political <br />ion of the State of Indiana, to the extent of its lawful authority <br />r, does hereby empower, authorize and direct the Executive Director <br />into the plan with the Continental Assurance Company known as <br />consisting of: <br />GP 5000T - Retirement Income Insurance Contract <br />Retirement Annuity Rider <br />Equity Fund Supplement - Fixed Fund Supplement <br />Term Insurance Rider <br />Supplement for Past Service Benefits <br />GP 1978T Supplementary Fund Contract <br />all of v�hich have been approved by the Department of Housing and Urban <br />Develop ent. <br />Donald igg "s moved that the foregoing Resolution be adopted as introduced <br />and rea , which motion was seconded by B.L.
