APPROVAL OF CLAIMS (CONT.) <br /> Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by Mr. Alford COMMISSION APPROVED THE CLAIMS <br /> and unanimously carried, the Commission approved the SUBMITTED JULY 26,2012,AND ORDERED THE <br /> Claims submitted July 26, 2012, and ordered checks to CHECKS TO BE RELEASED <br /> be released. <br /> 4. COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications. THERE WERE NO COMMUNICATIONS <br /> 5. OLD BUSINESS <br /> There was no Old Business. THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS <br /> 6. NEW BUSINESS <br /> A. South Bend Central Development Area <br /> (1) Staff report on curb and sidewalk work on <br /> west side of Hill Street between LaSalle <br /> and Colfax. <br /> Mr. Kain noted the East Bank Phase 3 Sewer <br /> Separation project is currently underway. <br /> This phase is expected to take several months <br /> to implement and impacts both commercial <br /> and residential areas in the East Bank <br /> Village. One impacted area is Hill St. <br /> between LaSalle and Colfax where the <br /> Commission also owns an approximately 0.5 <br /> acre lot. <br /> The CSO work will focus primarily on the <br /> east side of Hill St. and include the removal <br /> of asphalt and sidewalks to install new sewer <br /> pipes. New curbs and sidewalks will be <br /> installed on the east side of the street. Staff <br /> believes this is a good opportunity to repair <br /> the sidewalk and treelawn area on the west <br /> side of the street along the Commission <br /> owned property. Staff further recommends <br /> that a small portion of sidewalk and treelawn <br /> 3 <br />
