Airport Economic Development Area <br /> (2) continued... <br /> Staff is recommending the following strategy <br /> to address the increase in facade costs: <br /> 1. Request additional funds from <br /> Commission to cover the bid amount <br /> and award to lowest responsive <br /> bidder. <br /> 2. The final invoices from BSA <br /> LifeStructures for the facade concepts <br /> and construction drawings have come <br /> in under budget by $20,002.75. <br /> Apply these towards facade costs. <br /> 3. Work with Data Realty and approved <br /> metal panel bidder to reduce the <br /> project scope in order to bring facade <br /> costs lower to and if possible within <br /> approved amount of$1,400,000. <br /> Staff requested the Commission to <br /> appropriate an additional $61,312.25 from <br /> the Airport Economical Development Area <br /> TIF towards the Data Realty facade work. <br /> This amount in addition to the construction <br /> drawing savings will cover the $81,315 gap <br /> and allow the project to be awarded. <br /> Upon a motion by Mr. Varner, seconded by COMMISSION APPROVED FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT <br /> Mr. Alford and unanimously carried, the OF$61,312.25 FROM THE AIRPORT ECONOMICAL <br /> Commission approved funds in the amount DEVELOPMENT AREA TIF FOR DATA REALTY'S <br /> of$61,312.25 from the Airport Economical ADDITIONAL FACADE EXPENSES. <br /> Development Area TIF for Data Realty's <br /> additional facade expenses. <br /> C. West Washington-Chapin Development Area <br /> There was no business in the West Washington- THERE WAS NO BUSINESS IN THE WEST <br /> Chapin Development Area.
