1 REGULAR MEETING JULY 24, 2012 240 Upon a motion made by Mr. Gilot, seconded by Mr. Inks and carried, the above bids were referred to Engineering and Community and Economic Development for review and recommendation. After reviewing those bids, Mr. John Engstrom, Engineering, recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder Jackson Trucking & Excavating in the amount of $95,000.00 for the Base Bid plus the Environmental Allowance. Therefore, Mr. Inks made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded and the contract approved as outlined above. Mr. Mecham seconded the motion, which carried. Mr. Gilot made note that this company is a Minority Business Enterprise.
