WHEREAS, th <br />"Local Publ <br />July 7, 196 <br />Renewal Pro <br />and <br />RESOLUTION NO. 391 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DEPARTMENT OF <br />REDEVEL OPMENT AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF CERTAIN <br />IMPROVEMENTS AS A NON CASH GRANT -IN -AID TO INDUSTRIAL <br />EXPANSION PROJECT, INDIANA R -56. <br />City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment`(herein called the <br />c Agency ") has entered into a contract for Loan & Grant dated <br />with the United States of America for the carrying out of Urban <br />ect herein known as the Industrial Expansion Project, Indiana R -56; <br />WHEREAS, thl Urban Renewal Plan called for the vacation of certain streets and <br />alleys within the interior of said project; and <br />WHEREAS, th vacation of said project interior street system did cause the North - <br />South stree s entering the project from the South to become dead -end streets <br />without means of turn - around, and <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Commission authorized the Department of Redevelopment <br />to cure the dead-end condition by the installation of cul -de -sacs just immediately <br />outside the project boundary within the existing street right -of -ways utilizing <br />local funds available to the department; and <br />WHEREAS, sai installation of cul -de -sacs became necessary only due to project <br />action, the �roject therefore, derives 100% benefit from said installation; and <br />WHEREAS, an existing park crossing was located within the right -of -way area would <br />be curbed ani paved under the Urban Renewal Plan.
