RESOLUTION NUVMER 396 OLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION GOVERNING Y OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DEPAR'IlV1ENI' OF REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORIZING DONATION OF CERTAIN EVPRWEMENTS AS A NON-CASH-GRANT-IN-AID LASALE PARK, INDIANA R -57. (EXTENSION OF STREETS) WH REAS, the City of South Bend, Department of Redevelopment (herein called the "Local Public Agency') has entered into a contract for Loan & Grant dated July 7, 1968 with the United Stites of America for the carrying out of Urban Renewal Project herein known as the LaSalle Park Project, Indiana R -57; and WHEREAS, the rban Renewal Plan was such that certain streets within the project were to be recons ucted and in the process new finish grade level became mandatory; and WHEREAS, as Uiese new constructed streets with the newly established grade level approaching aild crossing the project boundary line, the new grade level then mandated the extension of the streets at the grade level to a point of logical conclusion; and W.EiEREAS, the tension of these streets to a point of logical conclusion was for the sole benefit f the newly constructed streets within the project area; and WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Commission authorized the Department of Redevelopment to extend these dertain streets beyond the project area boundary to a point of logical conclusion utilizing the local funds available to the department; and NOW THEREFORE the Redevelopment Ccmmmission governing body of the Local Public Agency does hereby. :.a thorize and direct that the President of the Redevelopment Comission donate the street extensions as a non -cash grant -in -aid to the project and that the President sign any necessary documents pretaining thereto, that the Associate Director of the Department of Redevelopment is hereby authorized and directed to audit and to certify as to the cost of said street extension, and that the Executive Director is hereby authorized and directed to submit to the Department of Housing and Urban Development certification for non -cash- grant -in -aid to the project for the work so donated by the Redevelopment Commission to prepare, exeadte and suh mit any necessary documents pretaining thereto.
