RESOLUTION NO. 403 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION TO CITY COUNCIL FOR THEIR <br />APPROVAL, AN AMENDATORY APPLICATION FOR CODE EN- <br />FORCEMENT GRANT FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING SECOND <br />ACTION YEAR PROJECT INDIANA E -3. <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend is engaged in the carrying out of <br />a Federally assisted Code Enforcement Project as authorized under <br />Section 117 of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended and specifically <br />authorized by a contract between the City of South Bend and the De- <br />partment of Housing and Urban Development dated 14 February 1972; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend Department of Redevelopment is the <br />administrative agency of the City of South Bend duly authorized to <br />administer and carry out the Code Enforcement program for the City, <br />to prepare budgets and to requisition funds and act as correspondent <br />for the City; and <br />WHEREAS, under the annual funding procedure now being followed by <br />the Department of Housing and Urban Development, it becomes necessary <br />to submit to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, an <br />Amendatory Application for Code Enforcement Grant, to seek funds for <br />the second and third year of operations within the Code Enforcement <br />Project; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, <br />GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT: <br />1. The Executive Director of the Department of Redevelopment is <br />hereby authorized and directed to prepare an Amendatory <br />Application for Code Enforcement Grant, for the purpose of <br />budgeting and receiving funding for the second year of <br />operation and to submit said application to the Common Council <br />of the City of South Bend for review and approval. <br />2. Upon the appropriate approval by the Common Council, the Exec- <br />utive Director is hereby authorized to submit said %application <br />to the Department of Housing and Urban Development along with <br />all necessary documentation for review and approval by that <br />Federal agency. <br />Adopted at the regular meeting of South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />held on June 2, 1972 at the office of the Department of Redevelopment <br />1200 County -City Building, South Bend, Indiana 46601. <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT <br />(SEAL) <br />reside e J.
