ORDINANCE NO. ~ ~ ~' ~"~ ~~ <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br />INDIANA, APPROPRIATING $40,100 OF INDIANA DEVELOPMENT FINANCE <br />AUTHORITY GRANT FUNDS WITHIN FUND 210 FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 700 SOUTH <br />LAFAYETTE STREET IN SOUTH BEND, INDIANA <br />Statement of Purpose and Intent: <br />On August 2, 2004 an application for a Site Assessment Grant Initiative grant was submitted <br />to the Indiana Development Finance Authority for environmental investigation at 700 South <br />Lafayette Street in South Bend, known as the Design Packaging, Inc. property. The application has <br />been approved by the Indiana Development Finance Authority in the amount of $40,100 and it is <br />now necessary to appropriate such funds for the purpose of environmental investigation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of South <br />Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br />SECTION I. The sum of $40,100, plus any interest earned thereon, from an Indiana <br />Development Finance Authority Brownfields Site Assessment Grant is hereby appropriated and set <br />aside within Fund 210 to be used for environmental investigation at 700 South Lafayette Street in <br />South Bend, known as the Design Packaging, Inc. property. <br />SECTION II.
