Floor <br />County City Building <br />Dear Ms. Pfeifer: <br />January 3, 2005 <br />Please find attached for filing an Ordinance registering an Appropriation for <br />$374,361.00 within the EMCIF (Fund 288). The Appropriation will allow the Fire <br />Department to purchase seventy eight (78) Self Contained Breathing Apparatus <br />/CBRN. During 2004 the Department received a Federal Grant for $374,361.00 <br />to purchase the SCBA's. We will receive 70% of the total grant totaling <br />$262,053.00, with our matching share of 30% for $112,308.00. <br />The Grant will allow the Department the ability to provide our Firefighters with <br />the state of the art SCBA's, and in the event of a chemical, biological, <br />radiological and nuclear incident the SCBA's will provide protection to our <br />firefighters. <br />Chief Luther Taylor will be the presenter of this Ordinance. <br />If you have any further questions, I will be available to answer your questions. <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />Robert X.
