RESOLUTION NO. 731 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT <br />COMMISSION PETITIONING THE PORTAGE TOWNSHIP <br />ASSESSOR FOR A REASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY IN THE <br />"CENTRAL DOWNTOWN URBAN RENEWAL AMENDED ALLOCATION <br />AREA NO. 1" <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />(Commission) has passed Resolution No. 615 on the 6th day of <br />February, 1981, declaring the Central Downtown Urban Renewal Area to <br />be an allocation area for purposes of allocating and distributing <br />certain property taxes on taxable real property in the allocation <br />area pursuant to I.C. 36- 7- 14- 39(b); and <br />WHEREAS, the effective date of the allocation provision of <br />Resolution No. 615 was March 1, 1980; and <br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />(Commission) has passed Resolution No. 690 on the 14th day of <br />October, 1983, declaring an amended portion of the Central Downtown <br />Urban Renewal Area to be an allocation area for the purposes of <br />allocating and distributing certain property taxes on taxable <br />property in the allocation area pursuant to I.C. 36- 7- 14- 39(b); and <br />WHEREAS, the effective date of the allocation provision <br />for Parcel Two of Resolution No. 690 was March 1, 1983; and <br />WHEREAS, I.C. 36- 7- 14 -39(e) provides that each assessor <br />shall upon petition of the Redevelopment Commission, reassess the <br />taxable property situated upon or in, or added to, the allocation <br />area, effective on the next assessment date after the petition. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission, as follows: <br />SECTION 1. The Commission hereby petitions the Portage <br />Township Assessor to reassess the taxable property situated upon or <br />in or added to the "Central Downtown Urban Renewal Amended <br />Allocation Area No. 1 ", effective on the next assessment date after <br />this petition. <br />SECTION 2. A copy of this resolution shall be sent to the <br />Portage Township Assessor as the petition for such reassessment. <br />Adopted at the Regular Meeting of the South Bend <br />Redevelopment Commission held on February 8, 1985, in the Office of <br />the Commission, 1200 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson <br />Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana, 46601. <br />CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />Attest: <br />(W Aft <br />tz,'president <br />
