RESOLUTION NO. 705 RESOLUTION OF THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF QUIT -CLAIM DEED FOR THE TRANSFER OF TITLE TO CERTAIN LAND IN THE CENTRAL DOWNTOWN URBAN RENEWAL AREA TO THE BOARD OF THE SOUTH BEND TRANSPORTATION CORPORATION. STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: The City of South Bend Department of Redevelopment ( "Redevelopment Department ") is carrying out the urban renewal of an area known as the Central Downtown Urban Renewal Area ( "Project ") pursuant to the Urban Renewal Plan ( "Plan ") for said Project adopted by the Redevelopment Department and the City of South Bend. The Plan calls for the sale for redevelopment by public or private entities of all land acquired in the Project area in accordance with the provisions of the Plan. The South Bend Transportation Corporation ( TRANSPO) has requested that the Redevelopment Commission sell certain real estate within the Project located in St. Joseph County and described on Exhibit "A ", attached to and a part of this Resolution. This request has been processed in accordance with all applicable laws of the State of Indiana governing the sale of land by the Redevelopment Department. The Redevelopment Department and the TRANSPO Board have agreed that consideration for the real estate shall be $1.00 and the immediate dedication of the real estate and of certain real estate twenty eight feet (28') wide along the entire northerly portion of a parcel of land described in Exhibit B, attached hereto and made a part hereof, together with dedication of real estate sufficient to create a turning radius, all of which real estate will be dedicated to the City of South Bend as a public way. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the South Bend Redevelopment Commission that the Redevelopment Department shall sell the real estate described on Exhibit "A" to TRANSPO for the payment of $1.00 and such other and additional consideration as described in the Statement of Purpose and Intent, herein which is incorporated and made a part of this resolution, and that the President and Secretary of the Redevelopment Commission are authorized and directed to execute all documents and to do all things necessary to effect said sale to the Park Board. Adopted at the Regular Meeting of the South Bend Redevelop- ment Commission held April 27, 1984, in the Office of the Commission, Room 1200 County -City Building, 227 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601.
