<br />and Board of Public Works in City of South Bend, the Beard 'of Commissinners 'adopted
<br />.& dec,l ar&tsvl r*solutien.to build bridge, and referred the matter to the County
<br />Engineer withc4astruotiene to prepare Plans andspecifications and report the
<br />same <to the Board.
<br />The County Engineer proceeded with this work until' it was
<br />1RUM1414-04 -to him by Mr:.PerlOy, thatthe property an which he was supposed to
<br />build:tbe bridge was Park property and that the park Board would not allow a
<br />bridge to be constructed there.
<br />Last Mondaytwo.memberg of the Park Board appeared before the,
<br />Board Of Commissioners and stated -in a-ubstsaeo-, that they .denied the right ofthe
<br />city to Open Calvert Street and also doled t1w PI-ght to the County to build a
<br />Bridge.
<br />The Board of Commissioners, otated that they didn't car* to go
<br />ahead as dmake expense until the Park Board and Board of Public Works had Ironed out
<br />bbeft differences. This was entirely Informal and is not a matter of record
