a The City Civil Engineer filed the following report on deed and `same was approved by the -Board and Clerk instructed to place same on record. March 10,1919. Board of Public Works, South Bend, Indiana. { _ Gentlemen:: The attache* deed conveys to the City of South Bend for street purposes a triangular tract of land,at the northeast corner of South Bend avenue and, Howard Street. 9 The tract has a frontage of twelve Peet on South Bend Avenue and Twelve feet on Howard Street,jand is in accordance with suggestion made to Mr. Arehart by the Board at one ofthe meetings in regard to the paving of South Bend. Arehart, ( hubband and wife ) of St. Joseph County, State of Indiana CONVEY AND WARRANT to City of South ,Bend, Indiana, of St. Joseph County, in the State of Ind ana, it successors and assigns for the sum of Two Dollars the°following Real estate in -St. Joseph County, in the State of Indiana to -tits ° A part ° of lot one (1) in Talbot's Addition to South Bend, more particularly described at follows: —Beginning at the westerly corner of said lot one (1) thence running nartheasterly on the southerly line of South Bend Avenue twenty (20.)`feet; thence southerly to a point in the north line of Howard Street twenty (20) feet east of the place of beginning thence west twenty (20) feet to the place of beginning. The premises conveyed hereby are to be used°for a public street and it is agreed that in case they should cease_to use it for;said purpose, the title shall revert to the grantors herein. And COVENANT for themselves their heirs and personal represntttives that they are lawfully seized of the premises, have good right to convey the same and Guarantee the quiet possession thereof, that the same are free from all incum- brances and that they will warrant and defend the title oo the same against all law- ful claims, IN WITNESS.WHEREOF, they have hereunto set their hands and seal of this 25th.9 day of February A. It was unanimously agreed by the Board that the City Civil Eg ineer F. J. Anderson be given an increase in rent of automobile used for City business from $1.00 per day to $2.00 per day same to start from March lst.,1919.
