<br />WHEIAS,, 'the! Poai-d of Public Works on 'the 14th., day of January
<br />1919 did `adopt a. resolution ordered and requiring the permanent improvement of
<br />Miami° Street from, Ewing Avenue to Aouth `City Limits, by paving the roadway of the
<br />same, and
<br />WHEREAS-,- the° City C•iv-i1- Engineer has prepared and f iled in the off ice
<br />of this Board a report showing the number and location of the service pipes, mains,
<br />"gonduits, 'later'a1s°,°•'and `c'annuwc�tione whiah °are,,° or will be necessary to accommodate
<br />the abutting property and the owners thereof with. gas , water , sewer and other
<br />conveniences and -necessaries; . and also said City Civil Engineer has prepared and filed
<br />in said office spec,if icat ions showing the material to be used and the manner of laying
<br />said service pipes, mains, conduits, laterals and connections'from the mains, to the
<br />points inside of the curb °_1 ines .
<br />THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Public -Works of the City of
<br />South Bend, Indiana, that °the report of the Cii* Civil Engineer is adopted, and said
<br />report and the specifications prepared and filed by him are made a part of such
<br />private connections with the sewer, gas and water mains be made in said street by bringing
<br />them inside of the curb lines thereof.
<br />And be it further resolved that notice by publ icat ion "for two suc-
<br />cessive days in the South Bend Tribune, a newspaper of general circulation printed and
<br />published in the City of South Bend, Indiana, be given to the owners of the property
<br />abutting upon said street to be improved directing them to made such s%wer and water
<br />connections on or before the 29th.,da y of March 1919 and that if said connections are not
<br />made on or before said time and in accordance with the specifications and report on file
<br />in the office of the Board of Public Works,, then. said Board will cause the same to be
<br />made and will assess the cost thereof alga nstt#,ha property abutting upon said streetm
<br />and shall do all rather things pertaining thereto according to the provisiions and re-
<br />quirements of Ordinance No. 1842 adopted by the Common Council of the City of South
<br />Bend on July 24,1916, and if all other ordinances and laws relating thereto.
