<br />Be. 1t, ites_olv.ed, by, the, Board, of, Public Works of the; City of SSouth Bend,
<br />St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, that it is desired and deemied necessary to improve
<br />Keasey Street from,Carroll Street to Sigh Street as follows, ttowit: -
<br />Said atrtat shall be
<br />graded and the roadway thereof shall be paved; and also the roadway of certain portions
<br />of the streets and alleys which enter or intersect said strec-t shall be graded and
<br />paved. The paving material to be used in making 'said improvement -shall be Sheet
<br />Asphalt, Bitulithid, Asphaltic concrete or Brick and the foundation shall be Portland
<br />ceraenitconcrete five (5) inches thick fbrc he sheet asphalt, bitulithic, a.sphaltie
<br />concrete a,nd brick, gar rolled gravel six (6) inches thick for the Bricks alss the cement
<br />curb now In place on said street shall _be taken out and a concrete combination curb
<br />and gutter shall be constructed along s&;id street; storm water inlets and conduits
<br />shall be constructed where necessary; all manhole tops and storm water inlets shall be
<br />i4t 't ` th#"proper grade; cement Marginal curb shall be constructed at all streets and
<br />alleys where necessary, all as is more particularly shown and all in accordance with
<br />the prof Iles, plans,.. detail, drawings and spec if icat ions on f ile in the, off ice of the
<br />'Department of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana.
<br />The Cost of the improvement herein provided except street and alley lntenv-0mis, shall be paid hy_,
<br />krocial assessment to be levied upon the property specially beneiltted, to the amount that the same may be tee.
<br />ally assessed therefor, in accordance with an Act of the General Assembly of the 14to of Indiana,, entttkecb

<br />tQ the provisions of all acts amendatory and supplemental thereto.
<br />The cost of all street and alley intersections, including one-half of the width .of the improvement,. oppo-
<br />site Street and alleys which run into, but do not cross said roadway herein proposed to be improved aild that
<br />*,mien of such street or alley abutting upon property belonging to said City, or upon property not subject to
<br />assessment, shall be paid by the City in cash out of its general fund, it able to do so, or from a fund ore-
<br />ee1by a s fal psse>smeat to be ?-s ied under the provisions of Section 108 of the above entitled Act.
<br />Asger-sments of ten dollars and more against each lot, if deferred, are to be paid in ten equal annual in-
<br />stallments, :: nh interest at the rate of Sin per cent per annum. A bond or bonds will be issued to the oonl ,
<br />tractor to tZe amount of such deferred assessments in pro rate, payment for. such impravement.
