4'0 7 <br />t..191 <br />Board met in regular seas ior, at 10 : 00 A.M. All members present. <br />This being the date set for receiving and opening of bids for the <br />add it ion to the City Hall. Bids were filed by C . C. Miller and Jos Good. The Board <br />ord-3red all bids held up until Thursday January 23rd., 1919 at 10:00 A.M. <br />The Board instructed Clerkjtoowrite to Councilman John Olejniezak <br />in regard to light onGrant Street..= <br />Plat of Goodland Park Addition to South Bend, Indiana, presented by <br />Joseph Klley, was approved by the Board. <br />The Board .instructed Clerk to notify Indiana & Michigan Electric <br />Company to place new bulb in light at intersection of alley west of Lafayette Blvd <br />on Washington Avenue, and to also clean up Bridge Street and put same in a passable <br />c o �cl it imp. <br />The,Board instructed Clerk to notify Mayor Carsonandn City <br />Attcrney Slick to be present at meeting to be held Thursday January 23rd.,1919. <br />as the matirer of the Pottowatomie Park assessment on pavement would be taken up at this <br />time. <br />Petition filed for a pavement on Sherman Avenue from Portage Avenue to <br />Lincoln Way -West. Resolution ordered on same. <br />Remonstrance filed against pavement on Sherman Avenue from Portage <br />Avenue to Lincoln Way west. <br />Petition received for a pipe sewer on Brookfield Street from <br />Division Street to Ford Street. The Board referred the same to the City Engineer <br />for a resolution, also petition received for pavement on Keasey Street from Carroll <br />Street to High Street. The Board referred this petition toiClty Engineer for a <br />res glut inn, <br />Petit iron received fvr pavement on Elder Street from East line of <br />-lich1gan Street to west line of Carroll Street. Same referred to the City Engineer for <br />a res olut ion <br />Communication received from-R. T. Fabout of the News -Record in regard <br />to erection of a coliseum. Same read and placed on file. <br />The following communication received , read and placed on file. <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />January 16th.91919. <br />Board of Pub 1 is Works, <br />South Bend, Ind Iana. <br />Gentlemen: - <br />On June 12th., 1916, we filed with your Board for the W. B. Brady <br />Construction Company a five year maintenance -bond in the amount of $14,150.00 with the <br />Aetna Accident & Liability Company as Surety covering the maintenance of the sheet <br />asphalt pavement to be constructed by the W. B. Brady Construction Company on Eddy <br />Street from Jefferson Boulevard to Mishawaka Ave. and Mishawaka Avenue from Eddy Street <br />to the centfr °of 19th., Street in the City of South Bend, Ind Iana. <br />his bond was filed on the same day that the construction, bond in the amount <br />of $75, 000.00 was -furnished the W. B. Brady Construction. Company. he maintenance <br />bond was to become effective on the date of the acceptance of the completed pavement <br />and run five years from that date.
