<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br /> INDIANA,AMENDING CHAPTER 6, ARTICLE I, SECTION 6-4.1(4) OF THE SOUTH
<br /> BEND MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADJUST FIRE DEPARTMENT COMMERCIAL PLAN
<br /> REVIEW FEES
<br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT
<br /> The South Bend Municipal Code at Chapter 6, Article 1, Section 6-4.1(4) presently
<br /> requires a flat fee of$253.00 for the Fire Department Commercial Plan Review of any addition
<br /> remodeling project. In the course of charging this fee, it has become apparent that a sliding scale
<br /> fee based on the cost of a remodeling construction project under $58,001.00 is fairer and more
<br /> equitable to property owners. Accordingly, the South Bend Municipal Code amendment
<br /> contained in this Ordinance results in a substantial fee reduction, and is in the best interest of the
<br /> citizens of South Bend.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
<br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND,INDIANA as follows:
<br /> SECTION L Chapter 6, Article 1, Section 6-4.1 (4) of the South Bend Municipal Code
<br /> be and hereby is amended to read as follows:
