2f:2 <br />u <br />The Board ordered that the City Contractor be notified to <br />construct curb and walk a,t southwest corner of Dunham Street and Pulaski Street. <br />The following resolution was approved by the Board. <br />RE S 0 L U T ION, <br />It was unanimously decided by the. Board of Public works, that <br />resolution No, 584 for water connections on Portage Avenue between alley north of <br />Kinyon Street and CityLimits,.be modified as recommended by the City Superintendent <br />.of water Works.under date of August 28th.,1918, the same to read as follows: - <br />That all water taps to be put in on Portage Avenue under Improvement <br />,.Resolution No. 584 to be One ( 1" ) inch tap and One (1) Q " tap, the number and kind <br />of -tap to be installed are shown by red inlet on said resolution. <br />Approved by the Beard this-28th.,;day of August 1918. <br />G. All members present. <br />The City Engineer -submitted the list of property owners in the mitten <br />of the appropriation of certain property under Condemnation Resolution No. 51 for the <br />Widening of Oakland Street from St. Joseph River is Mishawaka Avenue as per resolution <br />on page 220 of this record, which list includes the names of the owners and holder, of <br />property and of interests therein sought to be taken or beneficially affected, and the <br />description of the several pieces of property which is affected by the said appropri- <br />ation proceedings. <br />Thereupon the Board proceeded to award the damages sustained and to <br />assess the benefits accruing to `each piece of property upon said list. It was thereups <br />upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously adopted, resolved that said list <br />together with the a,moun.ts of benefits and damages and net benefits and net damages <br />therein set forth as to the several parcels of land be adopted and that the respectovve <br />amount of benefits contained in said list be and are hereby assessed against the <br />several tracts of land as specifically set forth in said list, and that the respective <br />amounts of damages contained in the said list be and are hereby awarded to the several <br />tracts of land as specifically set forth in said list, and that the .net benefits or <br />net damages., as the case may be as to the respective tracts of land, contained in said <br />list, are hereby awarded or assessed, as the case may be as to the said several tracts <br />of land. <br />1 The Board hereby further sets off the benefits add damages each <br />against the other where bath benefits and damages are assessed, against -{he same piece 0 <br />property, tract of land or * interest, and hereby fixes said respective bet benefits as <br />the amount that shall'be paid by the respective owners as benefits, and. further hereby <br />fixes the respective net damages as,�o the several tracts as the amount that-4hg1l be <br />paid to the -owners of the respective tracts as damages. 4 ° <br />Thereupon, upon motion duly made and seconded and unanimously adopt- <br />ed the 23rd. day of October 1918 at 7:15 P.0 was fixed as the day on which this Board <br />will receives or hear remonstrances from persons with regard to the amount of their <br />
