Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.M. All members present. <br />Hear ing had on assessment roll and f inal eat imate for s idewalk on the <br />North side of Lincoln Way West from Olive Street to Fremont Street, under Improvement <br />Resolution No. 554, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators °appeared and no written remon- <br />strances were filed. The Board therefore find that °the property assessed in said roll <br />filed July 31st. ,1918 is benefited in the amount of assessments as shown on said roll, and <br />the Board further find that the assessment roll filed July 318t . ,1918 and the final eat i- <br />mate allowed July 313t.,1918 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified <br />c onf irmed and approved. <br />Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for water connections <br />on Blaine Avenue from Lincoln way West to Portage Avenue, lJnder Improvement Resolution <br />No. 577. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance <br />was filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said ,roll filed <br />July 30th. ,1918 is benef itted in the amount. of assessments as shown on said roll, and <br />the Board further find that the assessment roll filed July 30th. ,1918 and the final <br />estimate allowed July 30th.,1918 should be and the same are hereby in all things, rati-► <br />f ied c onf irmed and approved. <br />Hearing had on 6mprovement Resolution No. 882, for pipe sewer on <br />Columbia Street from Indiana Avenue to a -Point 75 feet north of the north line of <br />Duba i1 Avenue, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Upon said hearing nemnstrators appeared but no written remonstrance <br />was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits <br />to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated <br />cost of the same, as re nerted by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final <br />action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things <br />rat if ied, conf irmed and approved. <br />Resolved further, that notices be published on the 22nd. day of August <br />1918 and on the 29th.9 day of Augut 1918, in a newspaper of general circulation, in <br />said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said <br />improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 10th., day of September 1918. The Board reserves <br />the right to reject any and all bids. <br />The following report -received read and placed on file. <br />TO THE HONORABLE -BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS, <br />C ity of South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gentlemen: -- <br />Complying with your request to appraise certain property in.the City of <br />South Bend, we the undersigned appraisers hereby report the following valuation for the <br />following described tract. <br />Beginning at a point on the south line of Mishawaka Avenue 30 feet east of the <br />intersection of the west line of Oakland Street; thence east do the south line of <br />Mishawaka Avenue 20 feet; thence south parallel with and 50 feet east of the :west line <br />of Oaklan d Street to the St. Joseph River; thence down stream with said River to a point <br />30 feet east of the west line of Oakland Street extended south; thence north parallel with and 30 feet east of the west line of said Oakland Street to the place of beginning. <br />APPRAISED VALUATION.
