Board met in regular session at 7:15 P.M. All members present. Hear ing had on assessment roll and f inal eat imate for s idewalk on the North side of Lincoln Way West from Olive Street to Fremont Street, under Improvement Resolution No. 554, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter no remonstrators °appeared and no written remon- strances were filed. The Board therefore find that °the property assessed in said roll filed July 31st. ,1918 is benefited in the amount of assessments as shown on said roll, and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed July 318t . ,1918 and the final eat i- mate allowed July 313t.,1918 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified c onf irmed and approved. Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for water connections on Blaine Avenue from Lincoln way West to Portage Avenue, lJnder Improvement Resolution No. 577. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written remonstrance was filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said ,roll filed July 30th. ,1918 is benef itted in the amount. of assessments as shown on said roll, and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed July 30th. ,1918 and the final estimate allowed July 30th.,1918 should be and the same are hereby in all things, rati-► f ied c onf irmed and approved. Hearing had on 6mprovement Resolution No. 882, for pipe sewer on Columbia Street from Indiana Avenue to a -Point 75 feet north of the north line of Duba i1 Avenue, in the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing nemnstrators appeared but no written remonstrance was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises, decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as re nerted by the City Civil Engineer, and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things rat if ied, conf irmed and approved. Resolved further, that notices be published on the 22nd. day of August 1918 and on the 29th.9 day of Augut 1918, in a newspaper of general circulation, in said City, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improvements up to 10:00 A.M. on the 10th., day of September 1918. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The following report -received read and placed on file. TO THE HONORABLE -BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS, C ity of South Bend, Indiana. Gentlemen: -- Complying with your request to appraise certain property in.the City of South Bend, we the undersigned appraisers hereby report the following valuation for the following described tract. Beginning at a point on the south line of Mishawaka Avenue 30 feet east of the intersection of the west line of Oakland Street; thence east do the south line of Mishawaka Avenue 20 feet; thence south parallel with and 50 feet east of the :west line of Oaklan d Street to the St. Joseph River; thence down stream with said River to a point 30 feet east of the west line of Oakland Street extended south; thence north parallel with and 30 feet east of the west line of said Oakland Street to the place of beginning.
