Au\ <br />9Y <br />Board approved of grades on ?_nd. alley west of Lafayette Street, <br />Board instructed City Civil Bgginemr to prepare resolution <br />for pavement on Kline Street from Lincoln flay East to Calvert Street and Calvert <br />Street from Kline Street to Leer Street. <br />The followingnotice was approved of by the Board and -City <br />Engineer to notify all contractors of same. <br />May 28,1918, <br />TO ALL CONTRACTORS: <br />In order to carry out the request of President Wilson, that <br />Thursday Wy 30,1918 be set aside as a day in honor of soldiers and sailors of <br />our country and to bring home to the people the seriousness of this war, the Board <br />hereby requests all c oritrac tors d o in-? work for the City of South Bend to suspend <br />doing work bvk on-- Th-dt da�i Malt 30-�1918 > <br />Very respectfully, <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br />G.
