Witaar <br />representing The Studebaker Corporation of America was present. 13y usandmus consent of the <br />Board this hearing was ordered c oat inued until August 20th. ,1918 at 10: 00 A.M. The Clerk <br />of the Board ordered to notify All parties of 44e- record of the action of this Board. <br />The Board awarded contracts for lublic improvements es follows: - <br />South Bend, Ind. Way 2091918. <br />Concerning the imrovement of the roadway of Blaine Avenue from <br />Lincoln Way West to Portage Avenue in Pursuance to resolution No. 569 , the Board finds that <br />no petition has been filed with► said Board Board by a majority in'numbero of the freeholders <br />res id ing on said street to be improved requesting that it be improved with a different <br />kind of pavement than the kind heretofore adopted by the Board in its .preliminary order; <br />ad the City Engineer reports that Williston Construction Company is the lowest and best <br />bidder for the kind of avement heretofore adopted by the Board, and the Board find that <br />said Williston ConstruZon Company is the lowest' and best biddwr aid hereby lets the <br />c ontrac t for said -improvement to him, and orders that said said improvement to be made <br />with Asphaltic Concrete using Triniddd Natural Lake Asphalt and all proceedings heretofore <br />had in this matter -are hereby c onf irmed and ratified. <br />B O_aD OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br />Attested: - <br />Veronica C .
