East line of Michigan Street to west line of Bridge over St. Joseph River n pursuance <br />to resolution No. 564 the Board finds that no petition has been filed With said Board <br />by a major ity in number of the freeholders res id ing on .sa id street ,to be improved <br />requesting thaat it be improved with a different kind of pavement than the kind of pave- <br />meet . tban the kind heretofore adopted by the Board in its preliminary, order; an& the City <br />Engineer reports that The Western Construction C om_ pang is the lowest and best bidder for the <br />kind of pavement heretofore adopted by the Board, and the Board finds that said The <br />Western Construction Company is the lowest and best bidder and hereby lets the contract for <br />said improvement to him, and orders that said improvement be made with Sheet Asphalt and <br />Veedersburg Block laid in a mortar cushion and Granite Stretcher Block along the rail and <br />s Ix inches add it iona i concrete under ties in port ion of - street occupied by the Chicago <br />South Bend & Northern Ind Tana Railway Company, and all proceedings heretofore had in this <br />matter are hereby c onf irmed and ratified, <br />G ILBERT A. Expiration of time for putting in water connect ions May 9th. , 1918. ° <br />NO. 574. <br />RES GLUT IO)d FOR SERVICE CONNECTIONS WITH MAINS* <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works on the loth., day of March 1918 <br />did adopt a resolution ordering and requiring the permanent improvement of Harvey Street <br />C. from Allen Street to Blaine Avenue, by paving the roadway of the same, and <br />WHEREAS, the ,City Civil Engineer has prepared and filed in the off is e <br />of this Board a report shotigg the number and location of the service pipes, mains, con- <br />duits, laterals, and connections which are, or will be necaa ary to accommodate the abutting <br />property and the owners thereof with gas, water, sewer, a44 other conveniences end <br />necessaries; and also said City Civil -Engineer has preparers, and Flied in said office. speci- <br />ficatione showing the material to be used and the manner of Iaying said service pipes, <br />mains,, conduits, laterals and connections from the ma ins; o the points inside of the curb <br />lines <br />
