Engineering • Architecture • Land Surveying <br />APPENDIX 2 <br />WORK PLAN <br />PROJECT SCOPE <br />The proposed project generally consists of designing backwater valves to be added to three <br />(3) existing 36" & 42" discharges into the St. Joseph along Northshore Drive River between <br />Angela Boulevard and Michigan Street. <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />We have tailored our scope of services pursuant to our discussions with City Engineering and <br />and our understanding of the services generally necessary to complete a project scope such <br />as the one you have outlined. Our proposed services for the above -described project are <br />outlined in the tasks as follows: <br />Task #1 - Survey <br />A. Topographic survey of area around discharges into river. <br />B. Field measure existing structures. <br />C. Prepare survey drawings of existing conditions. <br />Task #2 - Design <br />A. Preliminary Design. <br />B. Structural Analysis. <br />C. Final Design and prepare construction documents <br />D. Prepare bidding and construction specifications. <br />E. Prepare construction cost estimates. <br />F. Prepare final bid documents. <br />G. Review with City <br />Task #3 - Permitting <br />A. Army Corps of Engineers permit application. <br />B. IDEM permit application. <br />C. IDNR Construction in a floodway permit application,. <br />Task #4 - Bid Period <br />A. Respond to bidder's questions. <br />B. Prepare necessary addendums. <br />C. Attend bid opening. <br />D. Tabulate bids and prepare contract award recommendation letter. <br />Task #5 - Construction Period <br />A. Attend pre -construction conference. <br />B. Review shop drawing submittals. <br />C.
