15 4 Board met in regular session at 7r /5 P.M. Mr. A. A. Rice absent. Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for Water ✓ Conhectioh on Niles Avenue from Howard Street to Leeper Avenue under Improvement ResbZution'tTo: ' 558. ` Tn' t;b.e' City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter a remonstrator appeared bu t no written remonstrance was filed.. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said rolls :filed November 13th. ,1917 is benef itted in the amount of assessments is shown on said rolls, and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed November l3th. ,.1917 and the final estimate allowed November 13th. ,1917 should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, a onf irmed . and apppeded. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no writton remonstrance was filed. And the Board being fuller advised in the premises_, Alec ids that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements ar equal to hhe estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City givil Enginior and thereupon takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. Resolved further, that not ice& be published obi the 5th. day of December 1917 and on the 12th. day of December 1917 in a newspaper of general c ir- .culatien in said City, stating that -this Bard will receive bids for the construct tion of said, improvements up to 10: 00 .A.U. on the 18th. day of December 1917 The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Plat of Tutt's Addition filed with the Board by C. Fassnacht was referred to the City Engineer for report. It was resolved by the Board that Rdveitldlng for bids for grade, curb and walk on Lincoln Way Best from Fremont Str aet to Clive Street under Improvement Resolution No. 558i should be held up until April lat.,191$ Board ordered that resolution for #ipe sewer on Chestnut Street from Napier Street to Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Ry. Company is hereby rescinded as all bids advertised for four different times and received by the Board were over the estimate. The City Civil Engineer filed the following report. • November 27th.,1917, To the Honorable Board of Public Works, South Bend, Indiant. Gentlemen:-- Subject: Duba;il Ave., In regard to the attached complaints I beg to report that I have notified the White Construction Company to remove the dirt and cement com- plained of and to repair the broken curb, I want ever the street yesterday and noticed that this werk was being taken care of.
