Gentlemen:
The 'Plans and estimates filed' by the Engineering Departmeht in connections
with grade Separation of Bronson, ldichigan, Main, Scott and Chapin Street* , and at
Lafayette Blvd. and Prairie Avenue, are based cn the proposed layout submitted by the
v New York Central for at least six track* at all of these street crossings.
The propaeed rearrangement oP 'backs does not materially affect the City's
share of the cost ,at any of tole crossings except that of Bronson St.,
I am attaching an &ppr'oxiiite 'estlniate 'of the cost of the work at Bronson
St.,, based on ,the .raeaent three track layout, which you will notice is about 4,330,- D0
less than that filed with the grade separation estimate.
Respectfully submitted,
