Board met in regular session at 7:45 P.M. Mr. e}L.; :H Rice absent. <br />Hearing had an assessment tell and final estimate for. p ip a sewrar on <br />r Catalpa Avenue from Prairie Avenue to Indiana Avenue, under Improvement. Resolution <br />No. 525. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />In the above muter ds remonstrators appeased and no wrriten remonstrance <br />was filed. ,,he Board therefore Find that the property assessed in said roll filed <br />October 23rd.1917 is benefitted in the amount of assessments as shown on said rolls,. <br />and the Board further find that the assessment roll filed October 23rd.1917 and the final <br />estimate allowed October 23rd.1917 should be and the same a e hereby in all things <br />ratified, confirmed and a pproved. <br />Hearing had on assessment roll and final estimate for pipe sewer an <br />v/ Niles Avenue from St. Vincent Street to Napoleon Street, under Improvement Resolution <br />No. 555. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no written remon- <br />strance was filed.. +he Board therefore find that the property assessed in said rolls <br />filed October 30th. ,1917 is benef itted in the amount of assessments as shown on said <br />rolls, and the Board further find.that the assessment rolls filed October 30th.,1917 <br />snd the final estimate allowed octgber'30th.91917 should be an4 the -same are hereby in <br />all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Healing had on assessment roll and final estimate for "pavement on alley <br />north of Washington Avenue from Taylor Street to William Street, under Improvement <br />Resolution No. 520 In the City of South Bend, Indian%. <br />In the above matter no romenstraters appeared and no.written remonstrance <br />was filed. The Board therefore find that the property assessed in said rolls filed <br />6oteber 23rd.1917 is boneffited in he amount of assessments as shown on said rolls, <br />and the Board further find that the assessment rolls filed October 23rd.1917 and the final <br />estimate allowed October 23rd.1917 should be and the°same are hereby in all things, <br />ratified, c onf irmed and approved. <br />-Ur. Gatos. Platt appeared before the Board in regard to petition <br />filed previous for a wipe sewer on Dayton Street. jhe Board adopted resolution on <br />the same. <br />Partial estimate allowed +he National Company on Portage Avenue <br />trunk sewer, improvement at ........................................ ......$639 <br />May U*lletteof Anderson , Indiana, Npyer Koller and, D. C. Layton <br />City Street Commissioner met with the Beard and discussed the preposgtion�Mayor Mellettee <br />✓ of Anderson, Indiana had to offer for the purchase of garbage from This City for a <br />use at a piggery. The Board decided to take this matter under consideration . Mr. D. <br />C . Layton instructed to make a trip of investigation in d if f ernet cities in regard to <br />thQ selling of garbage. <br />Guarantee bond of the Western Construction Company for five years filed <br />✓ on Asphalt pavement on kilten Avenue was approved by the Board, <br />Petition for light at the corner of Baney Avenue and Rush Street and <br />,.--one at Ewing Avenue was filed. <br />Building Commissioner filed financial report for the month of October <br />1917. Same read and placed on file. <br />Guarantee bond for the sum of 'wo hundred and seventy dollars for <br />v ,five year guarantee on Miami Street pavement from Fox Street.to Ewin6 Avenue was <br />approved by the Board. <br />Pole and wire inspector reported as follows on complaints about poles. <br />In regard to complaint -about pole at rear of 326 and 326 No. Lafayette <br />Street, this pole is a South Bend Home lel. Company pole and is now standing on the property <br />place, this pole was ordered placed there when the alley was paved. +his pole can be <br />reset to the north about 60 feet at the rear of a house -on kar ton Street. <br />Board approved of said report. <br />In regard to guy pole in alley side of 121 St. Paul Place. ,his is a <br />South Bend Bane telephone Company pole and can be removed and a guy placed in the ground. <br />Board approved of said report. <br />
