x NV <br />U.S. Department of Justice <br />Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, <br />Firearms and Explosives <br />www.atf.gov <br />INTER —GOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT NUMBER #19-823-P/AMV#19AHDQ00521 <br />BETWEEN <br />THE BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, FIREARMS AND EXPLOSIVES <br />AND <br />THE SOUTH BEND, INDIANA POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />1. PURPOSE: <br />This Inter —Governmental Agreement (IGA) sets forth the terms and conditions for the use of <br />office space in South Bend, Indiana between the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and <br />Explosives (ATF) and the South Send, Indiana Police Department. <br />2. AUTHORITY: <br />a. ATF is responsible for investigating criminal and regulatory violations of thcFedeml <br />firearms, explosives, arson, alcohol, and tobacco smuggling laws. See 28 U.S.C. <br />§ 599A(b). <br />b. The activities of ATF maybe carried out through any means including through contracts, <br />grants, or cooperative agreements with non -Federal parties. See 28 U.S.C. § 530C(a). <br />3. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: <br />ATF is requesting the use of shared space with the South Bend Police Department in support of <br />the ATF Task Force: Project Disarm. <br />4. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: <br />This Agreement shall become effective January 1, 2019, and remain in effect until <br />December 31, 2019. <br />5. PAYMENT: <br />Under the terms and conditions of this agreement, ATF shall make payment to the <br />South Bend Police Department in an amount not to exceed $10,795. <br />
