Councilmember Karen White seconded the motion <br /> which carried by a voice vote of nine(9) ayes. <br /> SPECIAL BUSINESS <br /> BILL NO. <br /> 18-72 A RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING THE <br /> SOUTH BEND EASTSIDE YOUTH BASEBALL <br /> AND SOFTBALL TWELVE (12) YEAR OLDS <br /> FOR MAKING IT TO THE 2018 WORLD <br /> SERIES PLACING FORTH (4TH) PLACE IN <br /> THE BABE RUTH WORLD SERIES <br /> Councilmember Gavin Ferlic, 1109 Duey Avenue, South Bend, IN, served as a presenter for this <br /> bill.Councilmember Ferlic stated,Whereas,the South Bend East Side 12U All Star Softball team's <br /> record the entire All-Star Season was sixteen (16)- four (4); and, Whereas, and I want you all to <br /> pay attention because these are some phenomenal numbers right here. East Side dominated in state <br /> competition playing six(6) games and outscoring their opponents seventy-four(74)- one(1). East <br /> Side's lights-out pitching was led by Savannah Hamilton who pitched against twenty-four (24) <br /> batters throwing one-hundred two (102) pitches, seventy-five (75) of which were strikes. Other <br /> pitchers Kadence Brumitt,Jessica Cleveland,Taylor Kinkade and Allie Miltenberger combined to <br /> face forty-six (46)batters throwing a total of one-hundred fifty-two (152)pitches, eighty-two (82) <br /> of which were strikes; <br /> 1 <br />
