The following communication received read and placed on file. <br />October 5th.,1917, <br />Board of Public Works, <br />South Bend, Indiana. <br />Gentlemen: - <br />I advise you that I have filed <br />motion in the Circuit Court to re --instate <br />the causes of Joseph D. Oliver, Trustee, <br />4 <br />and.Sandere-Egbert Company vs. City <br />of South Bend;in reference to the opening <br />of Union Street. <br />The Court has fixed <br />October 12th., as the time of hearing said <br />motions. <br />The amount of money required <br />of the City to <br />settle'the Oliver case is <br />:t <br />$2,000i00 with interest a 6%'-,)er annum from <br />July Ist.,1919. <br />The amount in the Sanders-Egbert <br />Co.,case <br />is $500.00 with interest <br />P"t 61e, from July lst.j1912. And the City <br />must pay the <br />court costs in both cases. <br />jhis will give the City the right <br />to use for street purposes the land <br />condemned. <br />yours very <br />truly, <br />E.
