The following assignment for Williston Construction Company Was approved <br />by the Board, South Bend, Indiana Sept., 4,1917. <br />FOR VALUE RECEIVED, The Williston Construction Company hereby transfers, <br />sells and assigns to the ST. JOSEPH LOAN & TRUST COMPANY of South Bend, Indiana, all its <br />right, title and interest in ---and to a certain contract made and executed by and between <br />the City of South Bend, Indiana, and the Williston Construction Company, for the paving <br />and improving -of Howard Street in the City of South Bend, Indiana, which contract is dated, <br />lat. day`of August 1917, and the said Construction. Company hereby transfers, sells and assigns <br />to the said +rust Company all money and bonds that shall hereafter be due from the City <br />of South Bend, to the said construction Company, and the saud +he St. Joseph Loan & Trust <br />Company is hereby authorized to receive said money and the said bonds, and the receipt of the <br />said Trust Company therefor, shall fully discharge the City ofSouth Bend, -from any further <br />liability to the said Williston Construction Company. <br />The consideration for the foregoing assignment, is that the said the St. <br />Joseph Loan &Trust Company has agreed to advance to the said Williston Construction <br />Company, certain amounts of money that .may be required during the construction of the said <br />work and the foregoing assignment -is made to secure the said The St. Joseph Loan &trust <br />Company for all amounts so advanced and loaned to the said Williston Construction Company. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF the.Williston Construction Company has hereunto executed <br />this agreement and affixed its seal this 4th. day of September 1917- <br />WILLISTON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY. <br />BY J.` G. Barnes at prices bid on at 10:00 A.M. <br />this -llth: day of Septeorr 1917. <br />lr. F. J..Anderson, City Engineer brought up the matter regarding the <br />delay of water taps on Dub A Avenue. Water works claimed that' had only a few taps left <br />out�ldesired them for use other places. <br />�he Board resolved to call a special meeting Friday evening Selbt., 14th., <br />1917 if E. C Daicey, Mgr. of the South Bend Home Telephone Company did not move poles by <br />Thursday Sept., 13th.,1917. <br />The Board took up the matter of an increase in the salary of the City <br />Cemetery Sextons salary and refused the same. <br />It was unanimously adopted and approved by the Board that the plan of <br />Eddy Street and Uishawaka Avenue suggested by Mr. A. H. Rice making the roadway taper <br />from 66 feet at Jefferson Boulevard to 46 feet at the Grand Trunk , be approved.- <br />
