Hearing had on'Improvement Resolution No. 522 for the Pavement on Milton Avenue from Miami Street to High Street, In the City of South Bend, Indiana. Upon said hearing no remonstrators appeared and no written remon- strance was filed. And the Board being fully advised in the premises decides that the benefits to property liable to be assessed for said improvements are equal to the estimated cost of the same, as reported by the City Civil Engineer, and there- upon takes final action on said resolution as originally adopted, and the same is hereby in all things ratifieid, confirmed and approved . Resolved further, that notices be published on the 7th. day of June 1917 and on the 14th. day of June 1917 in a newspaper of general circulation in said City,, stating that this Board will receive bids for the construction of said improve- u- to 10: 00 A.M. on the 19th. day of June 1917. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Deferred hearing had can Pavement on lst. alley north of Washington v Avenue from Taylor Street to William Street, under Improvement Resolution'No. 520. In the City of South Bend, Indiana. In the above matter property owners appeared and remonstrated against said improvement, Attorney Stuart McKibbin respresenting property owners against said improvement appeared, but no written remonstrance was filed. Mr. C. Studebaker and Mr.-& Mrs. Hamilton appeared for said improvement. The Board after due consideration decided to defer all action on said resolution unil Tuesday July 3rd.1917 at 7: 45 P.M. ° Attorney Vitus Jones appeared before the Board in regard to ex- cavation bond for Hater Realty Company, also pavement on Niles Avenue. The City Engineer filed reports on petitions f 1l ed der grade, curbs and walks., recommending that the same be graded as follows: - Grade, curb and walk on Leer Street from Calvert Street to Ewing Ave. Cement walk and curb on west side of Miami Street from alley north Hof Donald Street to Ewing Avenue and constructing pavement on Miami Street from Fox Street to Ewing Avenue. Grade curb and walk on High Street from Bowman Street to'Ewing Ave., Grade, curb and walk on 17th. Street from Mishawaka Avenue to Grand ,i Trunk Western Ry. Grade, curb and walk on Fox Street from Miami Street to West line of Oak Park Addition. All of the above were approved by the Board and referred to the City Engineer for resolutions. Engineer recommended that more signatures should be obtained on petition on pavement on Fellows Street from Sample Street to Indiana Avenue. City Engineer submitted tabulation of bids received at 10:00 this 5th. day of -June ,1917 for pipe sewer on Leer Street from Calvert Street to Ewing Avenue. The Board finds that all bids received at above stated time are above the estimated cost of said improvement(eetimated cost 03 450.00) total of bid $39775.70. The Beard after due consideration rejected all bids and all proceedings under Improvement Resolu- tion No. 519, afid ordered and adopted new resolution for pipe sewer on Leer Street from Calvert Street to Ewing Avenue.
